Holy places
Raamateertham:
It is 12 KM away from vizianagaram treated to
be a sacred place. Bodikonda (hill) and
another Hill, which consists of Jaina,
Buddha ruined structures.
TOURIST PLACES
Borra
caves:
These are 86km away from
Visakhapatnam, 43 km away from Sringavarapukota and it is situated among the Anantagiri hills.
These are the caves made of stalactite and stalagmite minerals are wonder to
see. In side the caves there is a Siva lingam. Upper portion of caves there is
an idol of Kaamadhenu (the cow of plenty) is present. The river Gostani born
and runs from udder of Kaamadhenu. Here the water flow itself disappears in
this group of hills and it appears in Borra caves under 90M deep.
Taatipudi:
There is a reservoir placed in
between two hills, which is 8km away from Sringavarapukota.
Punyagiri:
It is 3KM away from Sringavarapukota adored
with Siva temple. There are two bathing places named as kotilingalu and
Godugula dhara.
Kumili:
2Km away from Rellivalasa village
bestowed with a number of temples carved with
sculptures.
Bobbili:
It is 45KM away from Vizianagaram
town. This is the place where a war took place in between Jamindaris and the
French. Palaces and Sri Venugopala swami temple in the fort are very famous.
Bobbili is famous for making of veena a
stringed musical instrument.
Vizianagaram:
This is the district head
quarters. The fort, palaces, ruined parts of the fort in the battle 1757, and
Rangarao’s resting place are present. Village deity Pyditalli temple is to be
noticed. It is a business place.
